Dev-log 11/27

So! After many weeks of planning, Major Development is underway this week! Even just a couple days has proved deeply more fruitful than in the past where I was just overwhelmed by scale, anxiety, and feeling like I lacked general strategy/oversight.

Now, progress is much more concrete and the cognitive load much smaller.

Planning and design, works.

As one of my favorite, insightful quotes goes:

“Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe” Abraham Lincoln

Today is day 3 of 50 in the 50 day sprint I’ve planned, arguably I’ve been planning the last 6 months, at least in part.

By the end of this 50 day sprint, I very much hope that the first initial demo will be very much completed.

I’ll then have about 40 extra days till the February Steamfest in 2026, and then, I very much hope to bring to fruition, this long and arduous project, after all the blood sweat and tears – lots of tears.

I’m not the most talented Indie Game Dev, I’m certainly not the most intelligent person out there, but if by February, the end of this 27 week development process, I’ll have managed to complete this project, after years, my self esteem will be, well and truly, through the roof.
