Dev-log 21/27

It’s been a difficult week emotionally. Focus has been harder to hold, and progress has felt heavier than usual. This isn’t an easy road, and it’s an extremely solitary one.

Part of why I’m here building independently, outside traditional paths – isn’t purely by choice. I’ve learned what it’s like to be left behind when things get difficult, and what happens when you’re labelled the wrong way in this society. You realise that the support most people take for granted isn’t always there for you. That kind of experience changes your trajectory. It forces a level of self-reliance that most people never have to develop.

But it also sharpens purpose, character, and grit – and the impossible dream shines brighter.

I’m still here because I believe in earning competence, building something real, and holding myself to the same standard of discipline, dignity, and self-respect that anyone else deserves – even when I feel completely outside of mainstream society.

Progress this week has continued, even if less visibly:

  • Refining UI flow and player setup screens
  • Iterating on world generation structures and data handling
  • Improving texture quality and asset consistency
  • Planning and restructuring upcoming systems

Some work shows immediately.
Some work is invisible but essential.
Both move the project forward.

I’m still here, building.
